3. MDM Cycle time and tresholds

How to set up your cycle time limits?

We will continue with the section cycle time and thresholds, which are the ideal production times for your machines.

Let's start setting it up!

To set up this section, you must define cycle time limits for various levels, including work orders, work centers, and article number.

Let's start by configuring sub-section 1. There are the ideal cycle times at the work order level.

1. Click on the "+" to add a new cycle time.

2. Select a work order and a work center.

3. Define an ideal cycle time in seconds, which is the theoretical minimum time to produce a part (defined by the supplier and the engineering teams by product and machine complexity).

In sub-section 2, there are the ideal cycle times at the work center level. To configure it you must:

1. Click on the "+" to add the cycle time limits.

2. Select the work center for which you are going to apply the limits.

3. Define the objective times of the work center (Execution, configuration, stoppage and waiting). In the following image you will find the 4 states that the work centers have and their respective explanation. These objective times must be defined in units of seconds.

4. Define the cycle limits (slow, small stop and full stop) in %. In the following image you will find the respective information on each of the machine limits and how to configure them.

For sub-section 3, which are the ideal cycle times at the article number level, you must perform the following steps to configure it:

1. Click the "+" to add a cycle time limit.

2. Select the article number.

3. Define the target cycle times explained above in units of seconds (Ideal Time, Run, Set, Stop, and Wait).

4. Select at which level the time configuration applies, if at the level of operation, group of work centers or work center.

5. Select the resource according to the previously selected level.

And voila, you have finished the cycle limits time configuration :)
